Father, I pray that I may see Jesus in everyone I meet. (Or else I won’t be able to see Him in anyone. Yes?) I pray I may see Jesus in my enemy, my fallen from grace family member, my agnostic friend, my judgmental neighbor, arrogant politicians, the list is endless.
But yes, once we meditate on the humble origins of the child Jesus, True God and True Man, once that breaks through, the rest becomes easier. We are to love, to do all then that love requires. And that’s often hard or impossible without God within us.
The triune God will love through us, be our eyes, be our heart. It’s a struggle but we can keep asking God in Christ and the Holy Spirit to be our strength and show us how to love like that…Christmas blessings to you.
