People need something to live for. Meaning comes with a higher purpose in one’s life. Maybe it’s loving your child and getting them to responsible adulthood. Maybe it’s a spouse who would truly be lost without you. Maybe it’s a career that no one else could navigate as well as you for the sake of the organization (or the country?). Whatever it is, the reasons all finally have love as their foundation; love for someone or something else that means more than one’s own life. And, as we know, God IS love! So we see what’s going on there. And I hope you are not surprised by this realization. I happen to believe it’s a beautiful thing.
