I wish more people knew their story. It’s a great story of salvation. It needs to be told so that everyone can know that each one of us matters. Very much. There is a Creator who is not just the “supreme being.” He’s actually not a being at all. This Creator is the sheer act of ‘To Be’ itself. He deigned to become human, we call it the Incarnation. That’s God made man and His name is Jesus.

That’s the God-man who was born to poor parents in a stable they were so destitute. They were unwelcome and even spurned. This Jesus knows hunger, He knows suffering, He knows what it’s like to be abandoned by friends and ridiculed for His beliefs. He knows what it’s like to be misunderstood, to have people lie about what He said and did. He was sad, He was angry, He was joyful, He was despised, He was a victim of jealous, foolish people. Yes, that’s our God.

In the end, when He died for us, it was Love that brought Him to that point. It was a Sacred Heart full of love that was pierced by a soldier of the state that executed Him. And still He loved, up to and beyond the point of death. He still loves us. He is with us. He is Love.

I know it’s still a couple of months till Christmas, but I just feel that so many people, too many, need to know about this God who is Love. The more things I read and hear these days the more I realize that so many, too many people are lost, without hope, without a knowledge of how special they are because they are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God.

He yearns for us to join Him, to become a part of Him, He thirsts for our love. The One who created everything thirsts for you and me. Just consider this for a few minutes. Please listen to the song about the birth of Jesus that I’m sharing below. (It’s beautiful, even if you don’t believe.) And then talk to Jesus. He’s always so ready to listen. Let me know how it goes…
