I have a granddaughter who loves flowers. Especially wild flowers. She sees beauty everywhere and she shares her delight and joy when she so often finds it with those around her. I want to be more like her!

My 5 year old granddaughter is teaching me much about thoughtfulness and kindness and having a grateful heart. She finds beauty where it is, often in plain sight, and invites us to take notice. She gets us to stop taking things for granted.

Appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us is important. It fosters gratitude toward our Creator who makes it all and who sustains it all. And it reminds us to be grateful for the little things.

They may seem to serve no purpose, those littlest things, but that’s not the case at all. The littlest things bring us face to face with God. The little things, like little girls and tiny flowers, may just be His greatest creations.
