Hearts

“I bless the Lord who counsels me;

even at night my heart exhorts me.

I keep the Lord before me;

With him at my right hand, I shall never be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices;

my body also dwells secure…” – Psalm 16: 7-9

“You guard my heart with Your truth
The kind of love that’s bullet proof
And I surrender to Your kindness,” – Tauren Wells, “Known”

If you have not heard Tauren Wells’ newest release, please listen to it soon! It’s a beautiful poem set to amazing music that reminds us that God knows us completely and like no one else, but loves us anyway. And not only does God love us, He never leaves us or forsakes us. We may turn our backs on Him, but He never leaves. He remains because He loves us. He loves us more than we can fathom, and He has mercy on us for the same reason. Or rather because, as John remarks, “God is love.” It’s His very nature to love us and He “won’t let go.” Thank God!
