It’s a beautiful poem set to amazing music that reminds us that God knows us completely and like no one else, but loves us anyway. And not only does God love us, He never leaves us or forsakes us. We may turn our backs on Him, but He never leaves. He remains because He loves us. He loves us more than we can fathom, and He has mercy on us for the same reason. Or rather because, as John remarks, “God is love.” It’s His very nature to love us and He “won’t let go.” Thank God!
